This blog needs to start earlier, in April when we bought the house. But it just occurred to me I should be documenting this stuff, so I'll post that later. For now, here's where we're at.

| Exterior |
This is the outside of the house. It's Chicago brick. I love it. Jac doesn't. It's not changing, but the trim color will.
| | This is what we're dealing with, people. This wallpaper is so classic that we're leaving it until last to change. It's beginning to get tough picking paint colors, though, because nothing matches.

Why did everyone do parquet floors in foyers? They don't match anything, either.

The pineapple light is staying.

| Color-picking for the breakfast room |
| Breakfast room... seriously. |
| Cool retractable light. I'm painting it, but keeping it. For now. |
| Cabinet hardware |
| Original electric range. GE brings good things to life. |
| I never thought I'd love a chandelier. |
"Great" room walls. It's going to be great someday.
| Great room flooring. That's not real tile. |
Things change. Here's the new tile floor for the downstairs bath.
And here's the redbud I planted to replace a couple of the hollies. It's not doing too well, but it'll grow.
Best of all, the birds love us. This is the third set of house finches to nest in our front porch since April. Dad's a real singer.
